One of the Touchstones here at The Grove is “Transformation”, where we are intentional in aspiring to be transformed and ever-transforming, both individually and communally, into people who know God, follow Jesus, and pursue God’s purposes in the world. One of the key ways we have intentionally engaged this transformation is through the LifeGroup ministry. We believe that when we come together to learn, listen, and pray together, we invite the intricate work of the Holy Spirit to draw us closer to God’s heart and His will for our lives.

Seeing as we’ve now made it through half the summer, we are looking to Autumn, which means we are looking to the start of a new year of LifeGroups. If you are not currently in a LifeGroup, we invite you to consider joining one at this time!

You may be asking: “What exactly IS a LifeGroup?” Well, we consider LifeGroups to be more than just a bible study or a small group. In fact, LifeGroups may involve those characteristics, but are often more than that. Our hope is that LifeGroups become a way to journey together in community; a place to share our stories, walk alongside one another, and develop or deepen bonds of friendship, all while engaging in the word of God and in service together. This means that each LifeGroup sort of takes on its own form based on the group and the needs of the community. We have some groups that are based on common factors like age, meeting location, or gender, and other groups that are intentionally multigenerational and diverse. Even the meeting times are based on the group's discernment, with some meeting every week, and some every other week; or some meeting during the day, others in the evening or on the weekends. Our prayer is that a LifeGroup becomes a part of your or your family's rhythm, which is key in pursuit of our goal to journey together.

So if you are interested in joining a LifeGroup or even just have more questions, simply fill out the form by clicking the link below. From there, you can let us know your preferences, scheduling needs, questions, and anything else that would be helpful in finding the right LifeGroup for you to join. Please know that this is not always a quick and easy process. Whether we are starting a new group or finding open spaces in current groups, we ask for your patience in the process, knowing that we will get you into a group as soon as we can.

ALSO: We are always looking for people who are interested in potentially leading, co-leading, or “coordinating” a new LifeGroup. We don’t have a formal application for this process, but please ask to meet and discuss with Pastor Stacey and/or myself to help discern together. If you are interested, please be sure to mark your interest on the form. Know that there are additional expectations for training, equipping, and checking in that we ask of all LifeGroup leaders that add to the time commitment. Please consider that as you pray and discern if leading a LifeGroup could be right for you.
