The Grove Covenant Church Kids
We believe that every child is created, loved and valued by God. Our hope is that each child who comes through our doors would experience God’s love through the care of our leaders and staff.
Children who would like to attend our nursery, preschool, and kindergarten classes can check in at the window in the main lobby. These classes begin at the start of worship.
Our 1st through 5th grade students will begin in worship with their families, and then be invited to participate in a class in the Life Center about 30 minutes after the worship service has started. We will bring these students to the Life Center together as a group, and the group returns to our worship space at the end of the service.
On Sunday, August 9, all our students are invited to “bump up” to their next grade level in our Kids Out Loud classes! Preschool students are invited to move from the nursery to the preschool & kindergarten class, and 1st grade students are invited to join our elementary Kids Out Loud group. Our 6th grade students are invited to join the Youth Group at the August 19 Kick-off event! Please contact Pastor Kristin with any questions.
Third Grade Bible Sunday
We will be presenting our 3rd grade students with a Bible during our worship service on Sunday, August 9. If you have a 3rd grade student, please be sure to let us know through this form so that we have a Bible ready for your child. We will invite students and families to come up together to receive a Bible that morning, so please plan to join us in worship if you are able
Meet Our Pastor of Families and Children
Kristin Devine Mueller became The Grove's Director of Children's Ministry in 2018 and the Pastor of Families and Children in 2021. She is married to Glen and has two young children. She has her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Trinity Christian College (Go Trolls!) and Master of Arts in Christian Formation from North Park Theological Seminary. She is ordained to Word and Service in the Evangelical Covenant Church. She enjoys reading, visiting with friends, cheering on Chicago teams, Purdue teams, and Drew Brees!
