At the lunch, you will hear how we’ve hosted a couple of different focus groups around the Touchstone of Welcome. This lunch expands those focus groups, as we seek to understand from our congregation what has caused you to feel welcome and what helps keep you connected to The Grove Covenant Church. We’ll begin by sharing some of the work we’ve done, including a story of welcome from a newer worshiper. We’ll follow up with a chance to share your thoughts and experiences around the table. You’ll have a chance to hear what others have said in smaller groups, and our lunch will conclude with encouragement for practical steps that you can take as you welcome people to The Grove each week.

This lunch and a conversation around Welcome will happen in the Great Room. The Grove Covenant Church was recently awarded a grant to support our strategic initiative and help us live into our new identity, so we will be using some of those grant funds to cover this lunch. We plan to order from Olive Garden, and we hope that some warm and delicious food will also cause you to feel welcome!
